Matthew,
I liked the words cited at the beginning of your research: that the first duty of any teacher is to produce Christians and that society needs people of values. LIFE program as a faith formation program is a religious program steeped in the Marianist spirituality. This spirituality has fed many students through the years; however, as you state, it is declining in its motivation and purpose. It needs to be revised and evaluated under the structure of culture and climate. Those aspects are the ones stabilizing a school. LIFE needs to be redefined and enliven again. The spirit is latent but it needs to come again to life through an improved organizational structure.
