Faculty Institute on Learning Technologies

2024 Summer Faculty Institute: May 20-23

It’s back, and right around the corner. Academic Technology Services (ATS) and the Office of the Provost invite you to apply for the 13th annual 2024 Faculty Institute on Learning Technologies. The four-day on-campus institute is your opportunity to connect with experienced colleagues and guest speakers, get hands-on practice with cutting-edge technology, and infuse innovative teaching and learning techniques and methodologies into your curriculum plan.

There are twelve (12) fellowship openings to award to this year’s Faculty Institute. Those selected from the application review will commit to publishing their teaching and learning projects for next year’s faculty showcase, and will receive a $500 Teaching Innovation Award stipend from the Office of the Provost to use for their acadaemic innovation.

The deadline to apply has been extended to April 19. Please consider applying to this year’s Institute, whether you are new to St. Mary’s or it’s been three or more years since your former selection to the Institute. We never stop learning.

Please note: Although the Faculty Institute is created for full-time faculty, part-time faculty are welcome to apply. Each Dean’s Office will review and prioritize faculty selection in their School’s/College’s program during the review process. The selection will be announced on April 22.

If you have any questions, please email Jeff Schomburg (jschomburg@stmarytx.edu) or call 210-431-5073.

Our Testimonials

At the end of each Summer Faculty Institute we surveyed the participants. After four days of keynote speakers, brainstorming sessions, focus groups, pedagogical activities, and technology training, it is far better that others describe the value outcomes of the ATS Summer Faculty Institute.
