VOLUNTEER

he success of Research Showcase requires significant collaboration from our campus community, alumni and community partners. We are seeking volunteers to serve as judges and moderators throughout the event. Learn more about each volunteer role below.  If interested, please register to volunteer using the links below.

Eligibility

  • St. Mary’s faculty and staff
  • Alumni
  • Community partners and professionals willing to participate

Judges

Over 60 judges across all disciplines are needed for both days of Research Showcase.  Students who elect to be judged will be scored using the enclosed rubric for poster and oral presentations. Judges will complete the scoring rubric for their assigned student presentations and upload their scores.  Judges are expected to judge 3-4 student presentations.  Judges will be notified of their assignments by late March.  Judges can volunteer in 2-hour increments using the sign-up sheet below.

Room Moderators

Room Moderators will introduce presenters, assist participants to check-in with the designated QR code, serve as timekeepers ensuring we stay on schedule, manage the PowerPoint presentations for that particular session and make announcements. A moderator packet will be provided at the registration table including the room schedule, instructions as well as a designated QR code to assist with participant check-ins.  

Room Moderators are needed for Day Two of Research Showcase (April 30) from 9 am to 4 pm.  Moderators can volunteer in 2-hour increments.  If interested, please sign-up using the link below.
