Fourth Annual St. Mary’s Research Celebration: Research Showcase

Adaptation and Change in the Age of A.I.

The University Research Council, the Office of Sponsored Projects, Academic Research and Compliance, and the Office of Student Research and Inquiry will host the 2024 Research Showcase on Wednesday, April 10, and Thursday, April 11. 

The Research Showcase celebrates the scholarly and creative achievements of our undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty. The two-day event includes faculty and student presentations, workshops, and the Annual Research Symposium and Creative Activities Exhibition, and more. 

The alternative day of learning is Thursday, April 11. Faculty teaching undergraduate courses are encouraged to incorporate Research Showcase into their syllabi, whether that is presenting scholarly and creative works and/or encouraging your students to attend Showcase events.

Exhibitor Event  

Research Showcase will host an Exhibitor Event on Wednesday, April 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Alumni Athletics & Convention Center, Auxillary Gym. Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to participate as exhibitors for this event to connect and network with current and future St. Mary’s students while registrants sign in. This is a great opportunity to promote your student organization, department, office, grant, or student-focused resource. If you are interested in participating and having a table, click the button above to complete the registration form by Friday, March 15.   

Alternative Day of Learning 

 Thursday, April 11, is an Alternative Day of Learning. Faculty teaching undergraduate courses are encouraged to incorporate Research Showcase into their syllabi, whether that is presenting scholarly and creative works and/or encouraging students to attend Showcase events. 

Student attendance will be tracked for the planned activities on April 11.  Each session will have a QR code for participants to check-in.  The attendance sheet will be provided to faculty the following week of Research Showcase.
