Operation Overview

  • Starting from the top section realease the top locks for each leg 
  • Extend each part of the leg to prefered height
  • Repeat this method moving down to the bottom of the legs until ideal height is achieved
  • Use elevator to extend to aditional height if neccassary
  • Make sure platform is locked in place
  • On the platform secure the camera on the camera screw
  • Unlock the platform and adjust to desired angle

If you don’t have a camera of your own you can get this piece of equipment from the Acedemic Media Center. The DSLR Camera can be mounted on the tripod. Works in a variety of lighting conditions; has a great sensitivity range. This camera can record RAW and/or JPEG images to a standard SD memory card.

How much does it cost to check out equipment?

Checking out St. Mary’s media equipment is free for all current St. Mary’s students, faculty, and staff.

What do I do if the tripod legs are not extending?

Make sure the the locks on each leg is unlocked before trying to extend the legs.

How do I know if shots are level to the ground?

Check the fluid head on the tripod. The bubble should be centered between the two lines when the platform is level.
