IBM SPSS Statistics is a statistical analysis software that enables faculty and students to gather rich insights from data with robust tools and statistical procedures. I am a student. Do I have to buy SPSS for my coursework?
No. SPSS is free to all students for academic purposes. St. Mary’s currently purchases an SPSS campus-wide teaching and learning license. You can download the software and codes from above. The license codes are renewed every August 31st.
I am faculty. Do I have to buy SPSS for my teaching and research?

I am an administrator or staff. Do I have to buy SPSS?
Yes. SPSS is free only to faculty and students for academic purposes. Our St. Mary’s campus-value contract does not cover SPSS for business purposes. However, individual licenses can be purchased directly from IBM, the owner of SPSS.
Is there a Mac version?
Yes. There is both a Mac and Windows version of SPSS.
What's the most common issue when installing?
The biggest issue we see is that when plugging in the license number at the end of the the biggest issue we see is that when plugging in the authorization code number at the end of the installation process often causes the restart of SPSS
What is an SPSS Grad Pack?
SPSS “Grad Packs” are usually sold in 6-month or 12-month license bundles. However, as a St. Mary’s student SPSS is provided free to all students. So you do not need to buy an SPSS Grad Pack. St. Mary’s currently purchases an SPSS campus-wide teaching and learning license. You can download the software and codes from above.
