Jeff Schomburg
Executive Director
Jeff Schomburg received his master’s degree in Speech Communications specializing in Training and Development and his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication specializing in Public Relations, both from Texas State University. He has worked in higher education for over 20 years as an adjunct faculty member, instructional designer, faculty instructional technology manager, and member of the information services executive leadership.
His strategic focus is currently on academic innovations and instructional technologies, learning and performance improvement, online learning, best practices in pedagogy, learning space design, student success strategies, and video learning technologies.

John Solis, Ph.D.
Director of Online Learning & Curriculum Innovation
John Solis, Ph.D. has worked in higher education and instructional design for the past 20+ years. As the Director of Online Learning & Curriculum Innovation at St. Mary’s University, he provides leadership, management, and direction in the development and support of online learning courses and programs and curriculum initiatives. John holds an M.A. in Communication and Training Technology from the University of Northern Iowa as well as a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology from the University of Wyoming.

Meet Our Specialists
Liza Sánchez
Media Specialist
Liza came to the AMC more than 30 years ago from CBS affiliate KENS-TV. She manages all the video production equipment and teaches workshops while also working on substantial video projects and live streaming events on behalf of the university. In addition to her duties, she is also a member of the Marianist Educational Associates. and has a B.A. in English Communication Arts from St. Mary’s University.
